Trust falls? Rap sessions? Giggle weed? I don’t know what tools of the trade Paul Rudd and director
David Wain share to dream up the kind of inspired nutso stuff Rudd has done in smart-funny-raunchy

winners like Wet Hot American Summer and Role Models. But whatever it is, the two are in a groove —
and backed up by some blissed-out creative co-conspirators — in Wanderlust.
The setup is sturdy. Rudd and costar Jennifer Aniston play George and Linda, sharp-edged

Manhattanites who can barely afford their tiny living quarters — known as a “micro-loft,” in
Realtor-speak — even when George brings home a salary from his hated corporate job. (Linda, still
looking for her career métier, fails to sell HBO on a super-depressing documentary about penguins

with cancer.) Then George loses that hated job. The broke couple needs to flee NYC. So they hit the
road, resigned to accepting shelter and abuse from George’s gloriously obnoxious “successful”

brother down in Atlanta, a prize pig played to the snout by Wanderlust coscreenwriter/producer and
fellow Wain regular Ken Marino (Role Models). But somewhere on the road south, George and Linda
stumble upon a kind of hippie-dippy Brigadoon, a past-its-prime Shangri-la, an anachronistic
macraméd commune called Elysium. The place preaches peace and free love and beverages made of

twigs, and is populated by crackpots just charismatic enough to seduce a pair of BlackBerry addicts
like George and Linda. None is more appealing — and full of crap — than the alpha male called Seth,
played with goofy gusto by Justin Theroux.
What happens in Elysium doesn’t stay in Elysium: The alternative lifestyle begins to change the
personality DNA of our essentially straight-arrow visitors. And that’s exactly the sweet spot where

Wain-ian comedy — rooted in craziness that breaches the walls of “normal” — lets Rudd shine. The
actor is so clean-cut cute, yet so fearlessly capable of rolling in happy raunch. Actually, every
actor who gets the joke shines, even when the story occasionally bumbles and bobbles its momentum.
(Ah, the shackles of the ho-hum happy romantic ending.) It’s a thrill to see sexy Malin Akerman
(The Proposal), Six Feet Under’s peachy Lauren Ambrose, priceless Kathryn Hahn (so memorable an

adversary for Rudd in Our Idiot Brother), and elder statesman Alan Alda bond over hippie clichés.
And, no small thing, it’s a pleasure to see Aniston thrive in her comedy zone, secure in the
knowledge that for every inch of propriety she’s willing to cede, Paul Rudd is ready to get 10
times as crazy for a grateful nation.

The trailer for David Wain‘s Wanderlust has gone online. The movie focuses on Manhattan couple
George and Linda (Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston) who are forced to move to Atlanta when George
loses his job. Moving to Atlanta is apparently a fate so terrible that it causes Aniston to scream
at the heavens. The two then move around to various locations until they land on a commune and
start to feel renewed. It looks like For Better or Worse or Did You Hear About the Morgans? if

either of those movies were funny. Wain delivered a great little gem with Role Models and it’s
tough to go wrong when you throw in The State alum like Ken Marino and Joe Lo Truglio. There’s a
bunch of great jokes in the trailer, and it isn’t even a red-band version. Color me excited for
this flick.

A new, restricted trailer for director David Wain’s latest, WANDERLUST has been released by
Universal Pictures starring Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd.
The plot follows New York couple George (Rudd) and Linda (Aniston) breaking free from the strain of
city life when George is fired. Soon after leaving their busy lives behind they find themselves
living with the free sailing populace, Elysium, a community where being yourself is all you have to
worry about.

Having seen their upwardly-mobile New York life derailed by a layoff, George and Linda intend to
regroup while living with George's brother Rick (Ken Marino, who wrote the film with Wain) in
Georgia. But after an accidental pit stop at Elysium, a hedonistic "intentional community" (don't
call it a commune) overseen by Theroux's Seth, Rick's crassness and bullying are too much to
stomach. The couple puts materialism on hold to try living with the hippies.
Though we're introduced to Elysium by its resident wine-making nudist (Joe Lo Truglio, enjoyably
calm under the camera's R-rated gaze), and the community's rejection of social barriers is extreme
(George can't have a bowel movement without company), Wanderlust's weakness for anything-goes
caricature is balanced by well-rounded performances. Theroux in particular avoids outright parody,
demonstrating real interest in his new guests instead of making Seth a one-note cult leader. But
similar restraint is shown by Malin Akerman (less Sixties-shallow than others would be while
promoting Elysium's free-love ideals) and Alan Alda, playing the place's acid-damaged but not quite
Watch Wanderlust Online
clueless founder.
Though it initially seems Aniston will be stuck in the naysayer role while Rudd embraces local
customs, the characters soon trade places. Aniston would have been badly served by an hour of
uptightness and criticism, but the character's eventual openness suits her -- the part isn't as big
a departure as some of the film's buzz suggests (voyeurs anticipating a topless scene will be
disappointed), but she's appealingly loose while George struggles with his deeply ingrained
squareness. (In a very funny solo scene, Rudd expands on a gag from I Love You, Man, testing out
lewd slang and finding himself completely unable to pull it off.)
The screenplay offers the most familiar conflict it can think of as backdrop for the impending
marital crisis: Corporate investors arrive, bent on bulldozing Elysium for a massive commercial
development. But Wain pays little attention to the perfunctory threat, focusing instead on its
potential to widen the gulf between husband and wife. If the ensuing plot beats are easy to chart
in advance, they're sold by a good-natured cast and filmmakers who understand they'll get plenty of
laughs even without digging too deep in the bag of tricks displayed in outings like The Ten.
Stepping away from sketchy experimentalism without making himself bland, director David Wain finds
multiplex-friendly happiness in Wanderlust, a finding-yourself comedy with strong commercial
appeal. Stars Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston are at home here, playing against a stock-raising
performance by Justin Theroux as the charismatic libertine who prompts their adventure.
Arriving at UK cinemas Friday 2nd March is Wanderlust, a brand new comedy from the director of Role Models, David Wain. Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston star as a couple who decide to fully embrace nature and life away from the big city.

Jennifer's Lust Wanders at premiere

JENNIFER Aniston got wandering hands at the Wanderlust premiere.

But the saucy star saved her lusty moves for her female co-stars, flirting with Kathryn Hahn and Malin Akerman as boyfriend Justin Theroux looked on.
Jennifer and Paul Rudd star as a New York couple who move to a free love commune.
And in one scene she romps with three naked women in a huge bed.
The Friends star brought some free love to the premiere, cosying up to bosom buddy Kathryn with a warm hug on the red carpet at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, Los Angeles.

And she looked like she was going lock lips

And she looked like she was going lock lips with Malin Akerman, as she stroked her face and gazed into her eyes.

Jennifer looked stunning in a skin-tight herringbone dress, which accentuated her perfect figure.

And her enviably flat tum appeared to back her denial of recent pregnancy rumours.
She recently said: "I'm not having triplets. Not having twins. Nor am I having one baby.
"I did not elope. You heard it here. I'm not knocked up now."

While Jennifer and Katherine stuck to the monotone trend, Malin made an impact in an eye-popping plum-coloured dress with shocking pink sleeves.
But it's tough to take the spotlight away from stunning star Jen.
As his girlfriend made eyes at her co-stars, smartly suited Justin struck up a bromance with comic actor Paul.

But there's no doubt where his loyalty lies.
Last week the smitten actor threw a huge party on the roof of LA's famous Chateau Marmont hotel to celebrate her 43rd birthday.
A-listers including Courteney Cox, Chelsea Handler, Jimmy Kimmel, Ben Stiller, Emily Blunt and Jason Bateman turned up to celebrate but, on this occasion, she was saving most of her attention for her 40-year-old beau.

A source said: "She seemed very excited to see her friends, but she never got too far away from Justin.
"Every once in a while, Justin would come up from behind and give her a big hug and kiss.
"They would embrace and whisper to each other for a minute but then go back to socializing. She seemed very relaxed."
